| Trip Cancellation and Interruption – Up to Total Trip Cost |
|
Covers up to the total trip cost for Non-Refundable cancellation charges
including airfare cancellation charges and unused prepaid expenses if clients
cancel or interrupt their trip due to one of the following covered reasons:
|
- Injury, sickness or death of an Insured, a Traveling Companion or Immediate
family member or Business Partner
- Supplier Bankruptcy {please note that supplier bankruptcy coverage takes
effect 8 days following purchase of the plan; no bankruptcy coverage for the
first 7 days}
- Unforeseeable circumstances such as the Insured or Traveling Companion is required to serve jury duty, subpoena, a primary residence is made uninhabitable by fire, flood or natural disaster or involvement in a traffic accident on the way to a departure.

Note: A PRE-EXISTING CONDITION EXCLUSION applies to all coverages The Pre-Existing condition exclusion means an Injury, Sickness or other condition of the Insured, a Traveling Companion, or an Immediate Family Member booked to travel with the Insured, which, within the 60 day period before the Insured’s coverage began: (a) first manifested itself, worsened, became acute, or had symptoms which would
have prompted a reasonable person to seek diagnosis, care or treatment; (b) required taking prescribed drugs or medicine, unless the condition for which the prescribed drug or medicine is taken remains controlled without any change in the required prescription; or (c) required treatment by a Physician or treatment had been recommended by a Physician. If the Insured has any questions concerning this exclusion, they may call 1.866.892.2836 for further clarification.

| Travel Delay – $1,000 |
|
Covers the prepaid, unused portion of an insured client's trip, additional
accommodations and traveling expenses if a person is delayed for 12 hours or
more en route to their trip due to inclement weather, strike or equipment
failure of an aircraft. due to (a) carrier-caused delay, (b) Inclement Weather which
prohibits Common Carrier departure, (c) Strike, (d) a documented traffic accident while en route to a Trip departure, (e) lost or stolen passports, travel documents, or money; (f) quarantine, hijacking, Natural Disaster, (g) civil commotion.

| Missed Connection – $1,000 |
|
Covers the prepaid, unused portion of an insured client's trip,
additional accommodations and traveling expenses for Insureds who miss the
Trip departure solely due to weather-related flight cancellation or flight
delay of 3 or more hours.
|
| Baggage/Personal Effects – $1,500 |
|
Covers expenses for loss, theft, or damage to baggage and personal effects while
on the Trip.
|
| Baggage Delay – $500 |
|
Covers expenses of necessary personal effects needed if an Insured's baggage
is delayed for more than 24 hours.
|
| Medical Expense – $50,000 |
|
Covers the expenses for necessary medical services or supplies if an insured
client suffers an injury or illness while on the Trip.
|

Emergency Evacuation/Repatriation of Remains
– $50,000 |
|
Provides coverage for immediate transportation from the place where an Insured
client is injured or sick to the nearest medical facility where appropriate treatment
may be obtained and transportation home if necessary, including medical
escort and supplies.

If an emergency should arise during your trip, call the Travel Companion insurance desk immediately and give the details of your problem or medical emergency.
